Julia Tonon is a Brazilian director known for building intimate, poetic worlds from the seemingly ordinary. Her work emerges from a careful gaze toward small gestures, quiet landscapes, and subtle emotions - finding depth, mystery, and beauty in what often goes unnoticed.

She has directed projects for Havaianas, Armani, Nubank, Soho House, Aragana, Zerezes, C&A, and Monte Carlo Joias, among others. Her independent work includes the Alice Trilogy, selected for Mostra Mulher de Cinema and awarded at the Cinematography & Photography Awards. Her short film Late on the Planet was released by NOWNESS and featured on Directors’ Library. The film won Best Film at the Hombres Videopoetry Award in Italy and was also awarded at the Cinematography & Photography Awards. It was selected for festivals including Mitreo Film Festival (Italy), Detour – Low-Budget & Experimental Cinema (Portugal), Short to the Point (Romania), Cadence Video Poetry Festival (USA), and Midwest Video Poetry Fest (USA).

Represented as a commercial director by Santa Transmedia (Brazil) and Lagence (Europe).
